Free Concerts for Music Lovers this Wednesday, Oct. 20

Albany Public Library is hosting two free musical performances on Wednesday, Oct. 20.

Silent Film Spectular: “Metropolis”
7 p.m. at the Main Library
(161 Washington Avenue)
Fritz Lang’s 1927 Oscar-winning silent film features a futuristic city divided by the “thinkers” and the “workers.” Local musicians Terry McClain, Chris Neuhaus, and Nathan glass will perform their original score live to accompany the film.

Bach Branch Music Series: Die Sheine Meidl un dem Schmendriks
6 p.m. at the Bach Branch
(455 New Scotland Avenue)
This is the recently formed klezmer band from Temple Israel. The group features clarinet, cello, keyboard, guitar, drums, euphonium, electric bass, and flute.
