Silent Film and Live Music Wednesday at Main

The award-winning Silent Film Spectacular series continues at the Main Library this Wednesday, Oct. 16, with a showing of “The Adventures of Prince Achmed” accompanied by a live performanc by local band lastdayshining. The program starts at 7 pm in the large auditorium of the Main Library and is free and open to the public.

Albany band lastdayshining is a hard-hitting post-rock band with a sound characterized by expressive instrumental buildups that travel through a range of dynamic changes from quiet lows to bone-crushing highs.

APL’s Silent Film Spectacular series partners classic silent films on the big screen along with original scores performed live by talented local musicians.

The series continues with:

Oct. 23 — “The Wind” with music by Blacklight Lighthouse

Oct. 30 — “Waxworks” with music by Helicoprion
