Masks Still Required in Library

February 10, 2022 | Library News

[Updated 2/23/22] When you visit the library, please remember to wear your mask at all times, as the APL’s mask policy has not changed.

As of Feb. 10, 2022, the New York State Governor rescinded the indoor mask mandate for businesses, allowing counties, cities, and businesses to make their own decisions regarding mask-wearing policies.

The library’s Board of Trustees has decided to temporarily maintain our mask policy, requiring all staff members and visitors to the library (ages 2+) to wear a mask at all times while inside the library.

The Board of Trustees will continue to reevaluate the mask policy at future meetings. The next board meeting is Tuesday, March 8, at 6 pm. It is a virtual meeting and can be watched live, or at a later date, on our YouTube channel.

If you wish to share your thoughts about this policy with the board members, you can send an email to publiccomment@albanypubliclibrary.org or leave a voicemail at (518) 290-6905.

We appreciate your continued cooperation with our pandemic procedures.
