Mask Mandate Ends March 3

March 2, 2022 | Library News

Albany Public Library’s mask mandate will be eliminated at all locations starting Thursday, March 3.

Staff and visitors are no longer be required to wear masks in the library branches.

Those who wish to continue wearing masks are encouraged to do so. The library expects all patrons to be respectful of others’ choices regarding mask-wearing.

On a related note, the library’s current Pandemic Operations Plan/Continuation of Service Plan is tied to the old CDC metrics.

The document is being updated to correspond to the new guidance issued by the CDC on Feb. 25. The updated plan will be presented to the APL Board of Trustees on March 8 for approval.

There will be no additional easing of restrictions or service changes until after the board approves the updated document. We are working on plans to transition into any changes.
