APL Opens Meeting Rooms & Resumes In-Person Programs Starting April 4

March 28, 2022 | Library News

Albany Public Library is opening meeting rooms and resuming in-person programs starting Monday, April 4.

The meeting rooms in all branches will be available for community members to reserve and use during regular hours. The online reservation system will be open starting April 4. Due to staffing constraints, meeting rooms cannot be booked for after-hours use at this time. APL hopes to reintroduce after-hours room availability in the near future.

In-person outdoor and indoor programs will also resume at all branches to complement our continuing virtual offerings. Programs are typically planned multiple weeks in advance, so the return to in-person offerings will be ramped up in the coming weeks as the library staff transitions to the expanded availability. Program listings are provided on the library’s online calendar.

These changes are being made in accordance with the library’s Continuation of Service Plan, which calls for resumption of all services when CDC COVID-19 levels are low in Albany County. Staff capacity is also considered when reintroducing library services.
