Roller Skating Party Feb. 25!

Kids love school vacation, but by the time it’s almost over, parents are searching for something different to keep them entertained. Albany Public Library has a great option: a free roller skating party on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 1-3 pm at the Washington Avenue Armory (at 195 Washington Avenue, right next to the Main Library). The library is hosting this free activity that is geared toward kids in grades 4-6 and their families. Skates will be provided.

The Albany All Stars Roller Derby League will be on hand to help kids learn to roller skate. The skating will be done in rounds depending on the number of skaters at the event. While waiting to skate, participants will enjoy music, games, and popcorn.

For more information about the free roller skating party, call the Main Library Children’s Room at 427-4310.

The roller skating party caps off a full week of free programs and activities designed to keep kids entertained during the winter school vacation. A full listing of Albany Public Library’s winter vacation week activities can be found online.
