UHLS LIBRARIES APP

The Upper Hudson Library System has a free MOBILE APP you can use to access your APL account. (The app was significantly updated in August 2025. If you used the old version, you’ll need to delete that and download the new UHLS LIBRARIES app.)

The UHLS app is used by all public libraries in Albany and Rensselaer counties. Look for “UHLS Libraries” in your app store for Apple and Android devices.

The UHLS LIBRARIES mobile app lets you:

• Search and request material
• Reserve Museum and Adventure Passes
• View upcoming events and programs
• Find the nearest library branch
• Download eBooks and eAudiobooks
• Scan any ISBN (bar code on back of a book) to see if we have that title in our collection

LIBBY APP

If you’re looking for a mobile app on which to read and listen to library material, Libby is what you want.

The free Libby app is a wonderful platform for downloading and enjoying digital books, audiobooks, and magazines from the library.
