Two Open Seats on APL Board
Albany voters will select two trustees for the Albany Public Library Board in the May 20 election. Both positions carry full five-year terms, which commence on July 1.
Albany residents interested in running for a seat on the board need to complete and submit nominating petitions. The petitions, and instructions, are now posted on the library’s website and paper copies are available at all seven APL branches.
Trustee nominating petitions, with at least 51 signatures, are due to the Clerk of the City School District of Albany by 5 pm on Wednesday, April 30. The library’s trustee election and budget vote are held in conjunction with the city school district. The library trustee candidates will be announced after the school district validates submitted nominating petitions.

Meet the Trustee Candidates Forum and Library Budget Session

The public will meet the Albany residents running for library trustee and learn more about the 2025-26 budget. The forum will be recorded and posted to YouTube for later viewing.
