Library Board Elects Officers & Sets 2020 Meeting Schedule

The Albany Public Library Board of Trustees recently elected officers and set the 2020 meeting schedule.

The slate of officers, serving from July 2019 through June 2020, are: President Karen Strong, Vice President Brenda Robinson, Vice President for Finance Sarah Shearer, and Secretary Jenna Pitera. 

The APL board also approved the 2020 meeting schedule:
• Jan. 14, 2020 | North Albany Branch
• Feb. 11, 2020 | Washington Ave. Branch
• Feb. 25, 2020 | Pine Hills Branch | Budget Session
• March 10, 2020 | Howe Branch
• April 14, 2020 | Arbor Hill/West Hill Branch
• May 12, 2020 | Bach Branch
• June 9, 2020 | Delaware Branch
• July 14, 2020 | Washington Ave. Branch | Annual Meeting
• Aug. 11, 2020 | Pine Hills Branch
• Sept. 8, 2020 | Howe Branch
• Oct. 13, 2020 | Arbor Hill/West Hill Branch
• Nov. 10, 2020 | Bach Branch
• Dec. 8, 2020 | Delaware Branch

All meetings take place on Tuesdays and start at 6:00 pm. The public is invited to attend the meetings, which include public comment sections at the start and end of each meeting.

Stephanie Simon is manager of APL's Communication and Creative Services Department, which provides content and information for the library's website, social media, publications, videos, podcasts, and other outlets. Stephanie also manages APL's public relations and marketing efforts.
