Reserve A Room
Need help with our new room reservation system? Please call a branch for assistance.
The Albany Public Library provides its meeting room spaces for use to various non-profit groups, associations, and agencies when these rooms are not being used for library-sponsored programming. Please note that all meetings must be free and open to the public, and that authorization to use our meeting rooms does not constitute an endorsement by the library of a group or organization’s positions or beliefs.
How to Reserve a Room
Room reservation are made online. Please read and agree to the Room Reservation Policy (see below). Once you agree to the policy, you will be directed to an online calendar where you can select the date and location for your meeting and fill out a reservation form. Have questions? Don’t hesitate to Ask a Librarian. We’re here to help!
Using Kitchen Facilities
All our neighborhood branches except our North Albany Branch are equipped with small kitchenettes, and community groups who use our meeting spaces are able to serve light refreshments. We ask that groups using the kitchen bring their own utensils, etc. and remove refuse from the building immediately after their meeting. For complete kitchen use rules, please see our Meeting Room Request Policy.
Borrowing Audio/Visual Equipment
The large meeting rooms at our Delaware, Howe, Pine Hills, and Washington Avenue branches have projectors and screens that community groups may use during their meetings or programs. Please request audio visual equipment at the time the room is reserved, and please see our Meeting Room Request Policy for details.
