2011 Summer Reading Program

Calling all readers! Albany Public Library’s Summer Reading Program has something for everyone—
book talks, arts and crafts, special programs, and prizes. You can register at any APL location, or online.

Readers of all ages can have fun at the library this summer:

  • Babies and toddlers have the Bookworms program where parents and caregivers are encouraged to read to their little ones for at least 15 minutes each day.

  • One World, Many Stories - Elementary-age children can earn prizes for reading, make arts and crafts, attend special performances.

  • You Are Here - Tweens and teens can also track their summer reading progress, earn prizes, and connect with friends.

  • Adults can get in on the action too, with our Read It & Rate It! program where you read any book, fill out a rating entry online, and get in a drawing for weekly prizes.

Visit your neighborhood Albany Public Library to register for the Summer Reading Program and to get a schedule of events or check back here on the website for details. Be sure to check the Summer Reading Program Guide for a list of planned events at each location.
