Free Income Tax Assistance at APL in 2013

The library hosts the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and AARP Tax-Aide programs, which provide free income tax assistance for low-income taxpayers (household income limit of $51,000) on select days during the tax filing season.

Main Library

Saturday tax preparation assistance at the Main Library is provided on a first come, first served basis. No appointments or reservations are taken. For more information, call the Reference Department at 427-4303.

(Please note the Main Library is closed on Saturday, March 16, and there will be no tax assistance that day)

 

APPOINTMENT SERVICES

All appointments for income tax preparation services at APL are scheduled by the United Way 2-1-1 hotline. Simply dial 211 on your phone to be connected with an operator who can set up your appointment at the library.

All assistance on Wednesdays at the Main Library is by appointment. Please call the United Way 2-1-1 hotline to schedule an appointment.

Mondays and Fridays from Feb. 6 to Feb. 25

Arbor Hill/West Hill Branch

Monday and Friday assistance in February at the Arbor Hill/West Hill Branch is by appointment only. Please call the United Way 2-1-1 hotline to make an appointment.
