Free Income Tax Assistance at APL in 2014

The library hosts the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and AARP Tax-Aide programs, which provide free income tax assistance for low-income taxpayers (household income limit of $52,000) on select days during the tax filing season.

WALK-IN SERVICES

Saturdays from Feb. 1 to April 12

10 am to 3 pm -- Walk-ins Only

Main Library: 161 Washington Avenue

Saturday tax preparation assistance at the Main Library is provided on a first come, first served basis. No appointments or reservations necessary for Saturday assistance. For more information, call the Reference Department at 427-4303.

(Please note the Main Library is closed on Saturday, March 16, and there will be no tax assistance that day)

 

APPOINTMENT SERVICES - Call 2-1-1

All appointments for income tax preparation services at APL are scheduled by the United Way 2-1-1 hotline. Simply dial 211 on your phone to be connected with an operator who can set up your appointment at the library.
