Weekend Activities at APL

We’ve got some fun activities planned for your libraries this weekend! All are free and open to the public. For details, call the host library or check the online calendar of events.

FRIDAY, NOV. 16

+  The Charlie Smith Duo deliver a rousing blues guitar performance at 5 pm at the Delaware Branch.

+ Teens enjoy Wii games with friends starting at 4 pm at the Arbor Hill/West Hill Branch and the Main Library.

SATURDAY, NOV. 17

+ Adults discuss “The Things They Carried” by Tim O’Brien at 2 pm at the Pine Hills Branch. This is part of Albany’s Big Read.

+ Knitters and fiber artists enjoy working on projects alongside other crafters at 2 pm with the Bach Branch’s Knit2gether group and the Pine Hills Branch’s Frequent Fibers Club.

SUNDAY, NOV. 18

+ The kiddos enjoy a showing of “The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Christmas” at a special Sunday Cinema starting at 2 pm at the Main Library. Our friends from WMHT Public Television are bringing us this brand-new Cat in the Hat special. After the one-hour movie, kids can make Cat in the Hat crafts to take home.
