MONDAY, AUG. 6
+ Live music by the Dave Bates Plus Four Klezmer Band at 6:30 pm at the Bach Branch
+ One-on-one assistance with computer skills and job searches from 9 am til 5 pm at the Main Library (second floor computer lab)
TUESDAY, AUG. 7
+ Review of “Drift” by Rachel Maddow and “Washington Rules” by Andrew Bacevich starting at noon at the Main Library
+ LEGO Club meets at 4 pm at the Howe Branch. For kids ages 5-14.
WEDNESDAY, AUG. 8
+ Health and Benefit Resources Expo from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Main Library. Get info about public health insurance, benefits, and other wellness programs. Free HIV testing and blood pressure monitoring too.
+ Teens celebrate all things anime with the Pine Hills Anime Club from 4 to 6 pm at the Pine Hills Branch. Grades 6-12.
THURSDAY, AUG. 9
+ Make a rocket and space snacks and party like an astronaut in the We’re Off to the Moon event from 2 to 3:30 pm at the Howe Branch. Ages 7-18.
+ Dream pillow craft with the Tang Musuem at 3 pm at the Delaware Branch. For ages 5-18.
FRIDAY, AUG. 10
+ Lantern craft for teens from 3 to 5 pm at the North Albany Branch. For ages 11-17.
+ Kids and teens enjoy Wii games from 4 to 5:30 pm at the Arbor Hill/West Hill Branch. Ages 5-18.
SATURDAY, AUG. 11
+ Adult Art Group meets from 2 to 3:30 pm at the Bach Branch. Find your inner artist; no talent necessary.
