Lots to Do This Week at the Library

Our summer schedule is in full swing at APL. Stop by your favorite library for some great FREE programs and activities this week. Here are just a few of the activities we have planned:

MONDAY, JULY 9

 + Drop-in Computer Lab — Runs from 9 am til 3 pm at the Main Library.

+ Goodnight Story Time — Starts at 7 pm at the Pine Hills Branch. For kids in pre-K to fifth grade and their families.

 

TUESDAY, JULY 10

+ Friends of APL Book Talk: “The Day the World Discovered the Sun: An Extraordinary Story of Scientific Adventure and the Race to Track the Transit of Venus” — Starts at 12:15 pm at the Main Library. 

+ APL Board of Trustees Meeting — Starts at 5:30 pm at the Howe Branch.

 

WEDNESDAY, JULY 11

+ Dream Pillows — Kids make this fun craft with help from the Tang Museum. Starts at 3 pm at the Arbor Hill/West Hill Branch.

+ Wii Gaming for Teens — Runs from 2 to 4 pm at the Main Library Children’s Room for ages 11-18.

 

THURSDAY, JULY 12

+ Family Matinee: “Journey 2: Mysterious Island” — Fun adventure movie for the whole family. Runs from 1 to 3 pm at the Pine Hills Branch.

+ Crafternoon for Kids — Runs from 2 to 4 pm at the Main Library Children’s Room. For ages 5-12.

 

FRIDAY, JULY 13

+ Let’s Drum! — Kids try out various drums and other rhythm instruments. Runs from 4 to 6 pm at the North Albany Branch.

 

SATURDAY, JULY 14

+ Adult Art Group: Find Your Inner Artist — Runs from 2 to 3:30 pm at the Bach Branch.
