Book Domino Rally for Teens on Oct. 22
Line them up. Then knock them down. That’ll be the mantra at Albany Public Library on Oct. 22 as teenagers from around the city gather for a Book Domino Rally in honor of Teen Read Week.
The Book Domino Rally takes place on Thursday, Oct. 22, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the second floor of the Main Library at 161 Washington Avenue. The program is designed for ages 12 and up, and is free and open to the public.
Teens will compete against their friends to see who can build the longest chain of book dominos and who can knock down their book dominos in the fastest time. The group will also attempt to build a gigantic book domino chain. Prizes will be awarded, and refreshments will be served.
Teen Read Week is an initiative of the American Library Association designed to encourage teenagers to read just for the fun of it.
