Library Activities for Last Week of December

Get out of the house and stay busy with a few of the activities we have planned in the coming days! As always, APL programs are free and open to the public. A full list of activities is available on our online calendar. Here are just a few of the programs on tap:

 

DEC. 26 (Thursday)

+   Watch animated flick “Turbo” at the Pine Hills Branch starting at 3 pm.

+  Kids make arts-and-crafts projects at the Pine Hills Branch from 2 to 4 pm.

 

DEC. 27 (Friday)

+  It’s more crafting fun for kids at Pine Hills from 2 to 4 pm.

+  Kids and teens enjoy Wii gaming fun in the Main Library Children’s Room at 4 pm.

 

DEC. 28 (Saturday)

+  The adult/teen art group meets at the Bach Branch starting at 1 pm.

 

DEC. 29 (Sunday)

+  Watch “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” on the big screen at the Main Library at 2 pm.

 

DEC. 31 (Tuesday)

+  Enjoy a review of “Apocalyptic Planet: Field Guide to the Neverending Earth” at the Main Library at 12:15 pm. Jonathan Skinner, a retired statistician, reviews the book by Craig Childs. Sandesh Naik-Bengali, a local comic, provides a prelude to the afternoon’s discussion.

+  Kids in grades K-5 enjoy Wii, LEGOs, stories and more at the Pine Hills Branch at 3-4:15 pm.

+  Kids and teens do crafts, experiments, and more at the Main Library Children’s Room at 4 pm.
