September at APL is for Music Lovers

We’ve got a number of live musical performances for you this month. From jazz and blues to hip hop, we’ve got something for just about everyone. Check out our free September concerts.


Sept. 13 (Fri) — Andy Sink — 5 pm at Bach Branch

This is our last acoustic sidewalk concert of the season and features a local singer/songwriter.


Sept. 17 (Tues) — Roger Held Duo — 5 pm at Delaware Branch

The duo entertains us on the piano and bass. Don’t forget to stop by the farmers market too.


Sept. 17 (Tues) — Matt Durfee — 6 pm at Main Library

The local singer/songwriter performs a set before our latest guitar workshop, “Music Matters: Guitar 201.”


Sept. 18 (Wed) — Casino Trio — 6 pm at Arbor Hill/West Hill Branch

Listen to jazzed up nursery rhymes and standards featuring the music of Sonny Rollins, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, and other jazz greats.


Sept. 20 (Fri) — Garage Bands featuring Goldtooth and Masai — 6 to 8 pm at Main Library

Hip hop hits the last Garage Bands concert of the season with Goldtooth’s emceeing and a fresh, loud band along with Masai’s unique music that fuses modern rap and classic hip hop.


Sept. 21 (Sat) — Neil Brown — 2 pm at Pine Hills Branch

The accomplished pianist provides an afternoon of entertainment.
