Albany Public Library is hosting a program to help people on the path to U.S. citizenship on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Main Library (161 Washington Avenue).
The free assistance program provides attendees with guidance in filling out their citizenship forms, which will then be reviewed by an attorney. Appointments are required and must be made by calling the NYS Office for New Americans in Albany at (518) 621-7363.
The citizenship event is hosted by Literacy NY of the Greater Capital Region and Albany Public Library, with services provided by the NYS Office for New Americans.
