Live Music at APL in August

We’ve got another set of terrific live musical performances for you coming up this month. All concerts are free and open to the public. Make plans to join us!

AUG. 9 (Fri) – TRIYA LOVE

5 pm at the Bach Branch

The local singer/songwriter brings her jazz folk sound to the library in this acoustic sidewalk show.

AUG. 16 (Fri) — GARAGE BANDS: BOXER BROWN and HENRY’S RIFLE

6-8 pm at the Main Library (garage off Elk Street)

Boxer Brown is a family punk rock band. Henry’s Rifle is an “overflowing well of woes and warning as told by John Alfred.” The concert also includes a garage sale of gently used CDs and DVDs for just $1.

AUG. 17 (Sat) — PAUL BORRELLO

2 pm at the Pine Hills Branch

The accomplished percussionist performs a solo show for us.

AUG. 20 (Tues) — SENSEMAYA

The group’s lively musical style links hot Latin dance rhythms with the cool sophistication of jazz improvisation.

We’ll be treated to a delightful jazz performance lead by pianist Phipps.
