Frank Young and David Lasky will discuss their illustrated biography that tells the story of the Carter family, the first superstar group of country music that includes such icons as June Carter Cash. The graphic novel is a moving account that reveals the family’s rise to success, struggles along the way, and impact on contemporary music. NPR said of the book, “Lasky’s gorgeous artwork animates the story and evokes a mood that mirrors the era and the music.”
